1. Agreement
Be Prepared (the "service") is operated by G.SOFRONIOU WEBZONE-CY LTD, Cyprus. By using the service you agree to these terms and to our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
Be Prepared is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial, educational use. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time.
3. Important safety disclaimer
Be Prepared gives general information only. It is not medical, legal or professional advice and does not replace emergency services, official warnings or trained help.
- In an emergency, call your local emergency number first and follow instructions from authorities.
- First-aid content is not a substitute for a first-aid course or a doctor.
- Stockpile amounts are estimates. Adjust for your health, needs and local advice.
- Live map data comes from third parties and may be late, incomplete or wrong. Absence of a warning does not mean you are safe.
- Simulations of chemical clouds, radiation or blasts are simplified teaching models, not forecasts. Never use them to decide whether a place is safe.
4. Intellectual property
The text, design, icons and code of Be Prepared belong to us or our licensors. You may print and share the guide and printouts for personal and community preparedness, unchanged and with credit. Third-party data, maps and fonts are used under their own licences (see credits).
5. Third-party content and links
We link to and display information from other organisations. We are not responsible for their content, availability or accuracy.
6. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and may bring claims in your local courts.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Contact: info@webzone-cy.com.
